How do you enrich your own life and the lives of others by utilizing our local Carmel Valley Rec Center? San Diego’s Park and Recreation Department believes it can enrich the lives of the community members by creating quality parks and programs. Its Mission Statement is: “To acquire, develop, operate, and maintain a park and recreation system which enriches the quality of life for residents and visitors alike, and preserves it for future generations.”
For those of us in Carmel Valley San Diego, we have so many top-quality options to remain active such as parks, recreation facilities or
pools. We’re not talking run-down facilities here folks. We’re talking state-of-the-art facilities that are at your disposal. There is something for everyone. You can always find programs, activities and unique places that where you can create memories, healthy long-life habits and a closer community. Don’t forget that sports and athletic activities can do wonders to a person’s self-esteem, confidence and leadership abilities. Being a athlete and sports buff, I can recall countless of times when being on sports team added more value to my life then not, and transpired into my life in more ways then one. Obviously, I’m a big believer in staying active and healthy. What better time to begin an active and healthy lifestyle then when you are a kid. Generally speaking, habits that are attained as a kid carry over into adulthood.
That being said, the fastest way for you to get started is to review the 2011 Spring Program and pick something that interests you and begin today. If you like to plan ahead, check out the 2011 Summer Program. For more information visit the Carmel Valley Rec Center
