Fall is quickly approaching, which means cooler weather and indoor activities for the Carmel Valley San Diego community. It is the perfect time to cozy up with the furry love of your life. The Escondido Humane Society, in partnership with the San Diego Humane Society, Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, and County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, is inviting the Carmel Valley San Diego community to Fall in Love by reducing animal adoption fees to just $25 this fall.
The reduced adoption fee will be offered from Sept. 6 through Oct. 31 and includes micro-chipping, spay/neuter, vaccinations and veterinary exam. During this time, adoption fees on a second animal will also be waived.

Renee Zau is a longtime Carmel Valley San Diego community resident with her partner Darryl and their combined 3 children who attend Sycamore Ridge Elementary and Torrey Pines High School. Her life revolves around kids’ activities, getting fresh air and sun, running several businesses, chairing the Parent Connection, and launching DonationMatch – her startup with Darryl that provides web-based handling of charitable in-kind (non-cash) donation requests and event prize procurement to save both businesses and nonprofits time. For TheCarmelValleyLife, Renee shares the Parent Connection’s features and local community events, such as playgroup options, swap meets, and parent programs, with fellow families of Carmel Valley. In addition, Renee is spearheading development of the website’s “GIVE” section and resources.
