Chalk Drawing Contest & Fundraiser

On June 22, 2013, the community of Carmel Valley came together to help raise funds for the Ocean Air School PTA. This family fun-filled day included a sidewalk sale, chalk drawing contest, live performances, prizes, giveaways and much more!

The Torrey Hills Shopping Center, located on the intersection of Carmel Mountain Road and East Ocean Air Drive, is more than just a shopping center. It truly is a gathering ground for the whole community. On any given day you will see families and their children sitting out in the comfortable courtyard drinking Starbucks, mixing and mingling, and just enjoying the beautiful weather San Diego has to offer.

This wonderful event took place at the Torrey Hills Center. Located at the intersection of Carmel Mountain Road and East Ocean Air Drive, Torrey Hills Center serves as the Town Marketplace of the master planned Torrey Hills Community and is positioned in the heart of the Carmel Valley Community south of SR-56. Designed in a contemporary California Craftsman style, Torrey Hills Center is anchored by Vons Market, a large medical office building, and a variety of national, regional and local restaurants and businesses. It has wonderful public spaces to meet and greet, or just people watch. There are also quieter seating areas where visitors can comfortably be alone and read a book, with the sound of running water blocking out the background noise. Rounding out the attractions are the large community dog park as well as a public art display.
