Community Invited to Wine, Dine and Shop at Spring Fantasy Luncheon

Parent Connection’s 20th Annual Spring Fantasy Luncheon will feature a “Roaring 20s” theme.  This popular fundraising auction will feature a delicious meal, music by pianist and singer Joan Kurland, and entertainment by magician and mentalist Kevin Viner.  Former NBC 7 evening news anchor Susan Taylor will emcee the event on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Hilton Del Mar.

Guests who dress up in “Roaring 20s” theme will be entered to win a prize for best costume.  Event partners are offering discounts on costume rentals from Buffalo Breath Costumes, transportation by Uber, and lodging at Hilton Del Mar.  This year’s event will pamper attendees with hairstyling and makeup application, champagne and hors d’oeuvres, professional photos with friends by Keane Studios, a treat-packed goodie bag and lunch with delicious food and wine.

Silent auction items geared for San Diego families include photography sessions, restaurant gift certificates, spa treatments, children’s classes, birthday parties and tickets for museums, theaters and other local attractions.  The live auction will feature several priceless items including a custom song featuring the auction winner’s children to be written and recorded by local children’s band, Hullabaloo.  Raffle items include a one-night stay at the Hilton Del Mar, two tickets to the San Diego Ballet and $100 worth of equipment rentals at Mission Bay Sportcenter.  This annual event has become a tradition for the Parent Connection, an organization that has helped thousand of local families navigate the maze of parenthood and forge lifelong friendships along the way.

Proceeds from the sale of donated goods and services in the auction will benefit the Community Resource Fund, which supports families in crisis; Madison’s Fund, for families who have lost a child; and classes and family events that support the parenting efforts of Parent Connection’s membership.
