Del Mar is a small, seaside hideaway approximately 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego. This charming laid back town is best known for it’s exceptional weather, world famous thoroughbred racetrack, the county fair and fabulous beaches. In 1959 Del Mar incorporated as a city and is now the smallest municipality in the booming San Diego region; a true gem nestled along the coast.
The Plaza offers a unique collection of fine shops, restaurants and services in a casual European outdoor setting. You’ll find a variety of shops from beach clothing to more formal attire, from Jewelry to fine art and a even a gourmet Chocolate Shop for the perfect gift for anyone. Food – it’s all so good! There is a broad selection of steak and seafood, Asian and Italian from casual to a more elegant setting. Or just stop in for a glass of wine, a coffee or decadent desert. Enjoy one of the many happy hour events while taking in the extraordinary California Coastal Views and sunsets. It is sure to be a great ending to your day or fabulous start to any evening.
If you venture away from The Plaza there are many things to see and do right in our very neighborhood. There are many more restaurants and shops along Camino Del Mar. The L’Auberg Hotel and Spa right across the street. The local parks, play ground and beach is a short stroll down the hill and during race season The Del Mar Race Track is an endless stream of entertainment throughout – actually not only just in race season and all year long.
People that live here are very proud and involved in their community. If you hang out long enough – you will see someone you know whether it’s at the park, the coffee shop or a friend headed out surfing. You are greeted with smiles and cheerful spirits – it’s a pretty great place for anyone to call home.
This is truly a fun place to come to work – lots of activity from people walking by, great food, coffee, an amazing ocean view and most of all it’s a phenomenal location to better serve our clients.
