Dirty Dogs and Hotel Indigo Raise $1,500 for “Furry” Non-Profit
Del Mar was bustling with dogs Wednesday night as Hotel Indigo hosted the latest in a series of dog-focused fundraisers called Bark After Dark. The bi-monthly fundraisers are organized by local dog wash, Dirty Dogs. The event drew more than 200 dog owners and their furry companions and raised more than $1,500 for San Diego non-profit, Furry Foster.
Furry Foster is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, injured and at-risk pets find loving foster homes. Its mission is to raise awareness about pet fostering, connect homeless pets with loving foster families, and provide free resources to pet rescues and foster families.
The event was held on the ocean-view patio of dog-friendly Hotel Indigo where guests enjoyed live music, libations and an assortment of hand-crafted small bites prepared by Hotel Indigo. Dirty Dogs provided natural dog treats and USA-made pet food samples to for four-legged guests.
“San Diegans don’t want to leave their pets at home while they go out with their friends,” said Riley Bandy, marketing director at Dirty Dogs. “We believe it’s part of our duty as pet health advocates to host dog-friendly activities while also raising awareness of the amazing organizations helping pets in our city.”
As Dirty Dogs opens its newest location in Carmel Mountain Ranch next month, it intends to continue to grow its Bark After Dark events and host them at North County’s most popular dog-friendly destinations. If your dog-friendly business wants to get involved, email events@dirtydogsd.com.
