Encinitas is a spectacular coastal town in northern San Diego County.  In the late 1980’s the city had a vision of what a modern, sophisticated beach community could look like.  The city brought together  5 very unique communities,  New Encinitas, Old Encinitas, Cardiff by the Sea,  Olivenhain and Leucadia.

What makes Encinitas really special is its diversity. You have 11 scenic beaches covering 6 miles of coastline.  Just a quick drive inland you can experience secluded ranch living in Olivenhain, where large lots and horse properties are common.  If you’re looking for a more quaint setting, check out Leucadia, where the beautiful tree lined streets and seaside art galleries welcome you. The oceanfront estates in this community are very distinctive because many allow for direct beach access and have ocean frontage.

If the beach lifestyle isn’t for you, the community has plenty to offer. There is a championship golf course that will challenge even the seasoned player. Downtown Encinitas offers a quality shopping experience that  I feel is unmatched. The area’s roots date back over a 100 years, with distinct architectural styles, sidewalk cafes, and floral decor everywhere you look. The lumberyard area really is my favorite, it captures so much of what Encinitas is; old world coastal town, meets modern progression.

The community is situated in the San Dieguito and Encinitas Union school district. Both are known for their great schools that have flexible, responsive programming.

Of course Encinitas has countless outdoor activities that make San Diego Country a great place to live, but the Surfing is known the world over. The famous Swami’s reef is one the country’s top spots, and will host numerous professional competitions throughout the year.  If you’re in the water you’ll be around lobsters, octopus, halibut and many other sea creatures,

Residents gather to watch sunsets along Moonlight Beach, hike along the many inviting trails and live in near perfect  weather. Truly a city to experience in your lifetime!
