Carving Out Good Times at the Fall Harvest Festival

Annual Parent Connection event to feature fun family activities

Carmel Valley San Diego Community | Kim Knox | Fall Harvest Festival Kids will be thrilled as they arrive at Nobel Athletic Fields for the Parent Connection Fall Harvest Festival.  This popular annual event takes place Saturday, October 20, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.  Families will enjoy carnival games, inflatable jumpers, a raffle, a children’s music concert, and other fun activities.

This year’s Fall Harvest Festival will feature face painting, temporary Halloween tattoos, a roving pumpkin character, art projects, story time, inflatable jumpers and slides.  Kids will have a ball dancing and singing along to a concert by award-winning Hullabaloo Band at 12:30 P.M.  A professional photographer will be there to shoot fall-themed portraits of kids and families as well as action shots of kids in their costumes having fun.  Caricature artist Court Jones is back by popular demand and Cupcake Love will provide a cupcake-decorating station.  Raffle prizes include a diaper bag, museum tickets, a gift certificate for a blowout at drybar, and a signed copy of the book, “Becka and the Bubble.”

Lunch will be available for purchase from two local gourmet food trucks.  Urban Eats is a community oriented Gourmet Food Truck focused on “Fresh Affordable Fare.” They serve honest food at a good value, using local ingredients.  Red Oven Pizza, focused on old world tradition and technique, will bring their mobile Italian-made wood fired oven.  Their dough is completely handcrafted and they use high quality ingredients like Giusto’s organic flour, San Marzano tomatoes, extra-virgin olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Fior di Latte mozzarella cheese.  Parent Connection will provide dessert and bottled water.

The Parent Connection Fall Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Nobel Athletic Fields located at 8810 Judicial Drive in San Diego.  Tickets purchased by October 15th at http://www.sandiegoparent.com are $5 per child for Parent Connection members and $10 per child for non-members.  Tickets will also be available at the door for $10 per child.  Children under 1 year old and adults are free.  Lunch will be available for purchase; Parent Connection will provide drinks and dessert.
