All my life I was told that I could become smarter and that if I listened to a few songs from some of the greats like Beethoven and Bach, I would most certainly gain a greater ability to study and learn. As a kid, my mom would encourage me to listen to “classical” music as I studied or even just when I was merely lounging around the house. Who knows if that is what started my love for music but ever since I could remember, music has had a huge comfort and mood changer. Being that I’m no professional when it comes to determining the credibility of this statement, I figured the least I could do is share with you some great music listening opportunities. During the month of April, you have nothing to lose by attending a wonderful musical event taking place in our very own Carmel Valley San Diego community Library. You don’t miss out on this great opportunity to spend a wonderful night out with the family enjoying wonderful music. Thanks to the “Friends of the Carmel Valley Library,” we will have a FREE FAMILY music program available to the entire community. The kick off date and time will be April 13th at 7:00pm in the library community room. As a Carmel Valley San Diego community member, you and the family will have an opportunity to hear music from Oboist Susan Barret and guitarist Randy Pile providing all sorts of wonderful music. So be sure to bring your entire family and spread the word about the event. Just a little background about Susan and Randy, these two musicians have toured all over the nation sharing their talents.
For full biographies on these wonderful musicians, please visit Susan Barrett and Randy Pile. The free event is to take place at our local Carmel Valley Library located at 3919 Townsgate Drive San Diego CA, 92130 . For further information please call (858) 552-1668.

David! So great you wrote this post. One of my good friends just wrote a post in Psychology Today entitled I’m a Musician. Am I Smarter Than You?
What a coincidence. AND I am one of the Friends of the Library performers! Susan and Randy sound fantastic. Viva la Musica!!
