Once Upon A Time: Musical Story Time for Kids

There is just something special about story time that captures the attention of all in attendance.  It is almost as if a sense of magic washes over all of the children, leaving them anxiously waiting for the story to unfold.   Angela Amoroso, Executive Director of Scripps Performing Arts Academy has seen this very “magic” take place during her weekly story time sessions at the Torrey Hills Shopping Center.

Held every Tuesday at 9:30 am on the patio, Angela n’ Drew host a free musical story time for children ages 3-5.  The story time is definitely a fun-filled event and is very popular amongst the little tots of Carmel Valley.  Each week, children’s favorite stories are brought to life through dramatic storytelling, sing-alongs, and audience participation. Angela n’ Drew also include sign language, lots of fun props, and is very educational and informative for the children.  Drew really loves to dress up and the audience always gets a kick out of his different costumes, making everyone giggle with excitement.

Not only is the musical story time a great way for kids to make new friends, learn new things and have fun, it is a wonderful way for parents, grandparents and even day care workers to mix and mingle with other families.  A lot of connections and play dates have been made as a result of story time, as it really brings the community together in a fun and innovative way.

To take part in Angela n’ Drew’s magical story time, visit the Torrey Hills Shopping Center at 9:30am every Tuesday for a fun-filled time!
