The Taste of Enlightenment: The Cultural & Healing Benefits of Chinese Tea

Lecture, Demonstration, Tasting, and Reception on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm

The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum is pleased to present Qijong Master Kenneth Cohen, who will be giving a presentation on the cultural and healing properties of tea.  Cohen will discuss the early legends and history of tea, including the relationship of tea to Taoism, Buddhism, and Chinese Medicine.  After the presentation, guests will enjoy sampling single-estate teas and Cohen will be selling copies of his book The Way of the Qigong.

The presentation and demonstration will be held in the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension building at 328 J Street on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Refreshments will be served at the reception held in the Chuang Garden at 404 Third Avenue.  Admission is $4 and free for members and children under 12.
