The Country Friends’ 56th Annual Art of Fashion takes place on Thursday, September 22, at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, in partnership with South Coast Plaza for the seventh consecutive year.

This year’s event honors Priscilla Webb and the late Luba Johnston, longtime members of The Country Friends, for their commitment to community. Proceeds will benefit 28 charities including Rady Children’s Heart Institute, Helen Woodward Animal Center, Promises2Kids, and the Burn Institute, to name but a few.

After the luncheon on the lawn,Rancho Santa Fe homeowners and guests can watch the Art of Fashion Runway Show which will highlight fashions from the 2011fall/winter collections of renowned international designers including CH Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Emilio Pucci, MaxMara, Oscar de la Renta, Saks Fifth Avenue, Salvatore Ferragamo, St. John, TOD’S, and Versace. “South Coast Plaza is honored to help support the many philanthropic efforts of The Country Friends,” says Debra Gunn Downing, executive director of marketing for South Coast Plaza.

A stellar opportunity drawing features luxury goods from South Coast Plaza retailers, and a separate drawing offers two first-class tickets to Honolulu courtesy of Alaska Airlines paired with Tumi luggage. The event concludes with the “Apres Affaire” wine tasting, a time to savor the day’s events and toast the 2011 beneficiaries.
