Dance Hearts’ Bells of Freedom “The Big Thank You” Event Begins November 1st, 2012. Be a part of a Carmel Valley’s Holiday Tradition and ‘adopt’ a Military family for the Holidays TODAY!
With the beginning of the Holiday Season just days away, there’s no better time to join the Carmel Valley based Dance Hearts, a 501 (c) 3 Public Charity and the Bells of Freedom program to ‘adopt’ a military family from Camp Pendleton in what is called “The Big Thank You”. Your personal feelings aside, there are still thousands of our men and women serving in our military here and abroad in order to secure the freedom of Americans everywhere in the world. Many of the families of our military men and women are struggling every day just to make ends meet. By ‘adopting’ a military family during the Holiday Season, it is a way of saying “Thank You” for the sacrifices made by these brave men, women and their families currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The Bells of Freedom’s “The Big Thank You” acts as a conduit for the community to be matched with an enlisted man or woman and their family creating a one on one personal connection between community family sponsors and the enlisted families referred to the Bells of Freedom program via commanding officers, base readiness officers and /or base chaplains. What sets this program apart from other programs is the meeting that takes place between the matched sponsor family and military family and the ability for the sponsor family to thank our young men and women for their service and show their appreciation in a very tangible way.
The families we ‘adopt’ vary in race, ethnicity, culture and religion. The common thread is that they are all employed by the United States Armed Forces and that they and their families are in need of an emotional, spiritual and financial boost.
With our Sponsor’s Instruction Guide, it is easy to provide a Holiday celebration these military families won’t forget. Only $300.00 ‘adopts’ a family of three. The Bells of Freedom program provides you with an outline of how to shop for, prepare and package your ‘adopted’ family gifts. The best part is the delivery. On Sunday, December 9th, sponsor families caravan up to Camp Pendleton along with two semi trucks provided by UPS and a motorcade of Harley Davidson motorcyclists that stops for a meet and greet with military families at Camp Pendleton.
Don’t have the time or money to ‘adopt’ a family? Cash donations of any denomination go a long way when totaled up at the end of the day. One hundred percent of cash donations go directly to the military family adoption and meet and greet. The Bells of Freedom program gladly accepts gift cards to grocery, gas and clothing stores as well as prepaid VISA, MasterCard and American Express.
