Carmel Valley San Diego community residents can enjoy the Pet Expo held this weekend at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Located in the Bing Crosby Hall this Saturday, October 15th from 10am to 7pm and Sunday, October 16th from 10am to 5pm. Parking is $9. The Pet Expo is brought to you by the San Diego Union-Tribune and Shows USA.
From a cutest pet contest, Parade of Pooches fashion show, performances by amazing stunt dogs and splash dogs, petting zoo, animal education, pet adoptions and special guest stars, there will be entertainment for every member of your Carmel Valley San Diego community family.
A few special guests to the Pet Expo stage include; Victoria Stilwell of Animal Planet’s “It’s Me or The Dog”. She will be signing autographs and her book will be available for purchase. Also to the stage will be Arden Moore of Pet Radio’s “Oh Behave”, the Sundance Dog Stunt Team, and Wild Wonders animal-ambassadors will provide hands on education.
The Pet Expo has been very successful with generating monetary donations to local shelters, and San Diego rescue groups to help pets in need. Back in January of 2011, at the first San Diego Pet Expo, there were over 40 animal rescue and adoption groups that placed over 200 animals with loving new families.
The Pet Expo is also a great place to get expert advice in animal care and training. Don’t forget to stop by the vendor booths to get the latest products and services to pamper your beloved Carmel Valley San Diego community animals.
A special thank you to the San Diego Union-Tribune and Shows USA who’s members donate numerous hours of labor (at no cost) to make sure this event a success which helps so many dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, bunnies and more!
