RCHS Pet of the Month for Carmel Valley Life – January 2020

Here’s Denali. While I usually avoid sad stories, Denali has come so far and she’s just one step away from one of the happiest endings ever!

Some jerk in the Imperial Valley pulled his car over to the side of the road where he shoved out Denali and her 5 tiny puppies.

The puppies were fine, but Denali had been in an accident that took off part of a leg and left the other one mangled. God bless the man who saw it and picked up Denali and her puppies. He took them to a local shelter. From there they were transferred to RCHS. The puppies were adopted right away when they were 8 weeks old. Denali had surgery.

She’s had a long recovery in foster care, but now she’s ready for adoption. Ready to start the life she nearly lost.
