“Dixie Dot” is the Pet of the Week

“Dixie Dot” is the pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 2-1/2 year old, 8 pound, Torbie cat.  A Torbie is a mix of Tortoiseshell and Tabby.

Dixie Dot was picked up as a stray cat.  She was nervous, but still wanted to be held.  At first she would look for places to hide, but she would come out if someone wanted to pet her.

Dixie Dot was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters program.  Now that she’s relaxed she’s become very friendly and playful.  She likes other cats and really loves playing with the toy mouse on her cat wand.  She even enjoys being hugged.

Dixie Dot will do well in an adult home or with a family that has some older kids that will take the time to play with her and brush her.

Her $100 adoption fee includes medical exam, up to date vaccinations, spay, and microchip.
