“Give. Love. Grow,” at the 2015 Celebration of Second Chances!

Carmel Valley San Diego Community | John Van Zante | Give Love Grow New“Give. Love. Grow,” will be the theme when your Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) hosts its annual Celebration of Second Chances on Saturday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m. at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

Tickets for the Celebration of Second Chances are available now. The event sells out every year. Premier tickets at $285 include a cocktail reception with RCHS President Jim Silveira. The reception for the $185 level will begins at 5:30 PM. All guests will be treated to dinner, drinks, entertainment, and raffle and auction items.

RCHS President Jim Silveira says, this year’s Celebration is a step into the future for our 55 year old animal shelter. “When Rancho Coastal Humane Society opened in 1960 this was a rural area with cows, coyotes, and crows. We still operate out of the little yellow house where it began, but today we’re surrounded by a thriving community. Rancho Coastal Humane Society is asking our supporters, friends, and neighbors to Give, Love, and Grow with us.”

Silveira says that, in addition to the two original programs…Pet Adoption and Humane Education…today RCHS provides several other services for people and animals. “Our Animal Safehouse Program is a lifeline for animal victims of domestic violence and families in crisis. Pet Assisted Therapy delivers the unconditional love of animals to people in-need when they need it most. And the RCHS Community Pet Food Bank assures that nobody needs to give up their pet because they can’t afford pet food. These programs are supported by the Celebration of Second Chances.”

Nick Winfrey, RCHS Vice President of Planning and Development, says, “The word ‘Grow’ means that something is making progress or becoming larger. For 55 years RCHS has provided services while a community grew around us. Now we’re asking for help so we can continue to grow and serve the people and pets who rely on us.”

CBS News 8 reporter Jeff Zevely and his wife, Heather, will once again host the Celebration. The evening will also feature the world premiere of the “Give. Love. Grow,” video by Emmy Award winning producer Zoya Popova.
