Women, Health, and Technology: Hera Hub & Qualcomm Celebrate International Women’s Day
Annually on March 8th, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
Many global corporations, like Qualcomm, have also started actively supporting International Women’s Day by hosting an annual celebration. This year they hosted a dynamic forum of female leaders to provide a space to discuss women, health, and technology.
This networking event not only discussed a variety of topics that are imperative for female entrepreneurs to support and understand but celebrated young women pursuing the ever growing field of technology.
Hera Hub’s Mary Stovall shared, “the energy was fantastic! There were so many great women from a variety of industries. The topic of discussion was Women, Health and Technology with wonderful presentations by Peggy Johnson from Qualcomm and Camille Saltman from MD medical. The evening event also recognized ten young ladies from local high schools who won scholarships for their efforts in science and engineering”.
