L & L’s Society’s Man & Woman of the Year Gala

The fight against cancer is near and dear to my heart.  I am excited to announce that the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Man & Woman of the Year Gala, will be taking place on May 10^th from 6:00 to 10:00pm at Anthology in Downtown San Diego.  This is the fifth year that San Diego/Hawaii Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, has held this spectacular black tie event.

Ten candidates, whose lives have been significantly impacted by a form of blood cancer, are nominated to embark on a ten-week journey to support the Society.  These candidates work tirelessly on behalf of the Society to collect funds and raise blood cancer awareness.  They hold public events, procure Gala auction items, sell tickets to the Gala, and occasionally even dress up in costumes as one candidate did last year!

The man and woman who have procured the highest cumulative donations during the ten-week period will be honorably crowned ‘Man & Woman of the Year’ at this year’s Gala. Fundraising totals are kept a secret throughout the campaign, so the announcement of the winners is truly a surprise to the candidates and 300+ guests that attend the event.

This incredible evening is sure to touch your heart and put a smile on your face.  Attending the event is a great way to actively show support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission  –  finding a cure for all blood cancer diseases and helping patients with blood cancers live better, longer lives.

Lindsey Smith is a Del Mar resident and founder of San Diego Office Properties.  She serves as a trusted advisor for San Diego’s owners and occupiers of commercial space.  Lindsey comes from a family of “serial entrepreneurs” and has a true passion for helping local businesses find office space that is aligned with their corporate strategy, culture and budget.  Lindsey is a graduate of the University of San Diego.  She began her real estate career in 2003 working at a large corporate brokerage house and founded San Diego Office Properties in 2012.
