Last month in Long Beach during one of my speaking tours, my topic was supposed to be “HOW TO WORK TOGETHER IN HARMONY” and interestingly; we ended up talking about the following subject for almost an entire day: “IS MULTI LEVEL MARKETING, aka MLM, A SCHEME?”
Here is what I shared with my audience:
We all live in a MLM system, for an example, my first job at a Corporation when I first graduated from college, we had:
And myself for an example, my own Real Estate Company, I also have:
So, MLM truly exists in everyday businesses, depending on what you call them. In my opinion, Multi Level Marketing (MLM) is an entrepreneurial system with little overhead, unlike a Corporation, or my Real Estate firm. No, I am not in any MLM, however, I love the MLM concept of teamwork, family, career, wealth, health, and mentor relationships which supports what I am teaching, and I highly recommend it!
Today, over 16 million people participate in direct sales in more than 1,000 multi-level marketing (MLM) companies in the U.S. with a growing interest spreading rapidly overseas. MLM today is commonly called Network Marketing, and the products of interest to women have broadened, as they have moved from kitchen and living room parties to Social Media.
The golden opportunity for women has arrived.
According to Feng Shui, Period 8 in Feng Shui began in 2004, and whether you like it or not, this energy supported young men gifting them with leadership abilities and success. That energy which favored men began to weaken in 2014 and will continue to fade in transition as women begin to rise in power toward year 2024 which will welcome in the era of the virtuous and savvy woman.
There are three basic principles that stem from Feng Shui, and women innately possess characteristics of these principles:
These are basic principles in Feng Shui, and you can work with them to empower your business and home life by balancing and harmonizing the Chi (life force energy). We can do this by simply using the Feng Shui Bagua. The Feng Shui Bagua is one of the main tools used in Feng Shui to analyze the energy of any given space, be it home, office or garden. Basically, the Bagua is the Feng Shui energy map of your space that shows you which areas of your home or office are connected to specific areas of your life. Loosely translated, Bagua literally means the “nine areas of one’s life” such as health, wealth, reputation, relationships, creativity, mentors (helpful people), career, knowledge, and family.
All these 9 areas of life happen to work perfectly with MLM systems where you have support (mentor), health (less stress when working as a team), relationships (when you work together to achieve goals, your relationships enhance by default), and of course, MLM has been known for creating wealth for so many without the head-start of an impressive background. Although Networking Marketing companies (MLM) tutor women to establish leadership tracks, clear goals, and quantifiable levels of success, and the chance to set their own hours with flexibility, the one thing often missing from both their domestic and professional life is… balance.
The solution is to apply the Feng Shui Bagua to our living or working space which can be immensely beneficial as a guided reminder to plan and schedule leisure and responsibilities according to priorities, and can be utilized as a rest-stop to harmonize, rebalance, and restore the nine areas of life affected from all work and no play.
Although, the timeline of female empowerment is in a beginning phase, year 2024 energy will launch the era of the virtuous and savvy woman, promoting family values, ushering in fairness, compassion, honesty, and restoring common sense business morals and ethics by “doing the right thing.”
Today in “Network Marketing” (MLM), women are learning to master what Fortune 500 companies have yet to learn – that women are well prepared to lead, and are driven with the mindset that they will never own the future if they care what other people think!
In conclusion, Gentlemen, put on an apron, and learn that “the way to a woman’s heart is through her stomach”, put on aftershave, and greet us at the door with a Starbucks or a Virgin Pina Colada, and be supportive when we unload what a tough day we had at the office. Oh yes, a foot massage while we flop out on a reclining chair may earn you “I don’t have a headache tonight” too.
Gentlemen, if you do that, I promise you, we will live happily ever after. (Wink wink)
