New Cafe opens, Ranch 45, located in Solana Beach founded by business partners Pam Shwartz and Executive Chef Laura Bruce. Built on the foundation of serving San Diego delicious food made with only the best products — locally sourced produce, responsibly raised poultry and beef from Brandt Beef, the restaurant opened their doors in November of 2018, right next to the historic Del Mar Fairgrounds. The over 600 sq. ft restaurant serves an all day breakfast, along with lunch, offering a simple, approachable menu from Executive Chef Laura Bruce, including corned beef hash, omelettes, sandwiches, burgers, steak centric dishes, and chef-driven salads, a kids menu, beer and wine, and a large dog-friendly outdoor patio.
Trestaurant sources everything locally, from coffee beans from Cafe Virtuoso to Mary’s Free-Range Chicken, vegetables from Chino Farms and locally sourced eggs from Eben-Haezer. The menu features several dishes made exclusively with Brandt Beef products, a family owned ranch dedicated to sustainable practices serving only premium natural beef, antibiotic free with no added hormones. Anything on the menu can be made gluten-free, and there are also several vegan-friendly options. In addition, there is a weekend brunch with dishes including brunch staples like a breakfast burrito, spring vegetable omelette, avocado toast, dutch steak & eggs and buttermilk pancakes.
