Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary of Carmel Valley (RCHA-CV) is an organization run by volunteering women from all over North County. The unit was formed in 1994 and has continued to give its time and resources to support Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego, and the health and well-being of the children it serves.
Annually, about 30 members participate in Auxilary events like Kids’ News Day, Fantasy on Ice, and many others. Each of these events, as well as other volunteer activities at the hospital, help raise money and bring awareness for the children at the hospital. In 2011, the Carmel Valley Unit raised over $700,000 for the Autism Discovery Institute, along with providing the children with a brand new playground.
The next event is just around the corner! On April 28th, Sounds of Hope for Children (hosted by the Carmel Valley Unit) will be raising money for Rady Children’s Hospital Discovery Center for Pediatric Research. The event will be held at The Loft Night Club Saturday evening, with live music by Joshua Tree Band. Tickets are on sale now and selling for $155 a person. Buy your tickets and add the date to your calendar, this is sure to be an event you don’t want to miss as it is a great opportunity to give to the children in the community.
The Auxillary is located at 3020 Children’s Way, MC 5013, San Diego, CA 92123. Additional info about Rady Children’s Hospital can be found at www.helpsdkids.org. If you have any questions, feel free to email the the Unit at CVChairs@gmail.com, call (858)966-5887 or visit www.chacv.org.
