“Squash” is the Carmel Valley Life Pet of the Month at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 6 year old, 43 pound, Airedale mix.
You might say that Squash has a split personality. In the kennel he’s usually easy going and mellow. In the play yard he wants to run and play with the other dogs. He craves attention. Squash was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from the Kauai Humane Society in Hawaii through the FOCAS program.
The $145 adoption fee for Squash, the Carmel Valley Pet of the Month includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org. Kennels and Cattery open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
