There’s no one quite like mom. For many of us in the Carmel Valley San Diego community, we’ve looked to our mom as a person we can turn to for help and support. Interestingly enough, there’s a nonprofit organization that operates under the name “MOM.” and is similarly represents a place where military personnel and families can go to for help and support. During one of my interviews with local Carmel Valley resident Kylie Reiter, I was introduced to the organization and its mission. In case you are wondering, MOM stands for Military Outreach Ministry.
According to MOM, they are a “nonprofit (501C3) organization that exists to show gratitude to young military families for their service. You can express your appreciation by supporting MOM financially. Your donation will provide food, baby items & household essentials that help to improve the quality of life for those families we serve with our programs.” There are many fun and rewarding ways you can personally volunteer at the organization. Some of their main programs include: MOMs 1st Baby Showers, Military Family Appreciation Day, MOMs 1st Baby Program, and MOM Food Program. Our very own Carmel Valley local resident Kylie Reiter, is actively involved with MOM and enjoys the being a part of the food and clothing programs. Kylie has even gone a step further and has recruited her Carmel Valley Keller Williams office at 12265 El Camino Real #180 San Diego CA, 92130 to participate in the MOM programs.
Carmel Valley San Diego community’s Keller Williams Realty show’s their commitment to the local communities by participating in their RED day activities. RED stands for Renew, Energize and Donate. Every second Thursday in May, each KW agent and office is encouraged to participate in some sort of community outreach event to give back to those neighborhoods they serve.
