Torrey Pines High School Foundation Kick Off Event

At the Pacific Athletic Club in the heart of Carmel Valley San Diego, the fundraising season for Torrey Pines High School was officially kicked off on February 26th with a “Toast to Torrey” event that drew over a hundred parents and contributors from the community.  This was a casual and lively mixer, with guests bringing a bottle of wine valued at $35 or more to donate towards the various auctions both online and live in the month of March.  The Pacific Athletic Club is often a host to both charity and Carmel Valley community events, and they graciously provided support and assistance to make the occasion a success.  Please continue reading below…

The Torrey Pines High School Foundation is a non-profit created to allow the Carmel Valley parents, local businesses and educational leaders to join together in providing academic, athletic and extracurricular programs for Torrey Pines High School.  The funds raised throughout the year, help to bridge the gap between the vital programs Torrey Pines needs to bring out the best in its students, and the budgetary challenges and staffing costs.  The focal point of the fundraising will be the live auction event called “Pump Up The Volume,” which is to be held at Belly Up in Solana Beach on March 31st.  Highlighting the auction will be music by the band The Credentialed, which is made up of unique multi-talented San Dieguito Union High School District teachers and counselors.  But before this signature event will be an important online Silent Auction which started on March 9th and goes through April 1st.

Carmel Valley schools are known for a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence.  The support of Carmel Valley businesses and involved parents is key to allowing our children to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.

Ryan Dalzell

Jim and his wife Jo, have lived in Carmel Valley since 1987 and first got into the real estate business in 1992 after a successful career in the construction industry in South Africa.  Kevin Dalzell joined the Dalzell Group Real Estate team in 2002 after playing professional rugby  in Europe (represented the U.S. in two Rugby World Cups) and is now living with his wife, Nina, in Solana Beach.  Ryan Dalzell coordinates the team’s marketing program, and he joined the group in 2004 after working as a flight instructor.  Ryan lives in Carmel Valley with his wife Julie and their 3 children.  Amber Worsham recently joined the team as the new Marketing Manager & Transaction Coordinator.  With over five years of experience in marketing real estate in Coastal North County, Amber provides us with extensive expertise in the print, internet and direct marketing aspects of the business.
