10 Top Female Entrepreneurs in San Diego to Watch

FORBES LIST.  No introduction needed, right?  Being featured on Forbes is a surefire way to not only declare “ I HAVE ARRIVED” but “I AM CREDIBLE.”  Forbes is an international publication that monitors the marketplace for brilliant talent and tenacious business practices and of course the ever so needed, R.O.I.  Forbes not only publishes it’s top 500 every year but sifts through the world’s top tier talent city-by-city, finding budding businesses worthy of being on the coveted watch list.

San Diego’s list of  Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs in San Diego To Watch.  Our fearless Hera Hub leader, Felena Hanson was featured on this prestigious list.  As Forbes’ Stephanie Burns shares, “Felena has been a champion for female entrepreneurs in San Diego for over a decade.  Last year she launched a new startup – an all-female, spa-inspired, co-working space called Hera Hub.  With open air working space, conference rooms and multi-media stations – Felena has built a place for women to not only work, but collaborate, convene and network”.

Felena is a long-time entrepreneur and marketing maven.  Her latest venture, Hera Hub, is a spa-inspired shared workspace for female entrepreneurs. Felena is passionate about education, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of San Diego and her MBA from California State University Dominguez Hills.  She taught Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and at California State University Dominguez Hills for the MBA online program for eight years. Felena was most recently rewarded for community efforts, as she was awarded the “Women Business Owner of the Year Award” by the local chapter of the National Organization of Women Business Owners.
