Caught Up in the Hustle & Bustle? Join VAVi!

One of my fondest memories as a child was participating in sports and being a part of a team.  Being able to play a sport I love, while interacting with others gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment, not to mention kept me in shape.  As we age, we get so caught up in the everyday hustle and bustle that we often get worn-out and begin to lose focus on what makes us happy.  In order to bring together adults who want to have fun, stay in shape, and keep that competitive spirit alive, VAVi Sport & Social Club was created.  VAVi Sport & Social Club offers a variety of different sport leagues, social events, vacations and even volunteer opportunities.  Sports leagues are not just a memory of the past, but can be part of your everyday life with VAVi.

Since 2002, VAVi has been hosting social events and holding adult coed sports leagues, as well as fitness and dance classes.  Anyone over the age of 21 can play, and the typical age ranges from 21-40 years old.  There are over 520 leagues run throughout San Diego County, and VAVi is continuing to expand by the minute.  Over 75,000 San Diego residents participate in the leagues, and VAVi grows at a rate of 300 new members per week.  Because of the numerous facilities and leagues throughout San Diego County, VAVi offers a unique opportunity for adults to have fun and participate in the activities they love.

For Carmel Valley residents, a softball league, held at the Carmel Valley Rec Center, is currently underway and is very popular amongst adults.  Held on Wednesdays, there are 8 teams that play, and most games start around 5:30 and go throughout the evening.  After games, teams usually go out to get drinks after and celebrate their victories!  It really is a great opportunity to interact with other individuals your age, play a game you love and stay in shape!
